Feasibility studies
A feasibility study is a unique study carried out before the start of a project to establish and document its feasibility. It is a mandatory step before starting large projects and recommended before implementing smaller projects.
The results of this study are presented in a report, based on which specific decisions are taken to implement the project or to stop work on it. An assessment is made, and in light of this, the chances of success and the types of options and approaches are evaluated to ensure that ultimate success is satisfactory.
If the project has reasonable prospects of success, the feasibility study assesses its chances of success and lists possible alternatives and approaches for achieving them. It also lists potential problems and bottlenecks and suggests solutions.
The feasibility study includes:
● An initial determination of the investment cost and the operation and maintenance costs of each of the project alternatives.
● The initial determination of the impact on the environment, protected areas and sites, and potential disturbance of archaeological finds and cultural monuments.
● Update cost-benefit analyses and prepare new ones.
● Preparation of forms and documentation.
